Bobby Sira
Bobby is a Specialist Oncology Pharmacist, Integrative Cancer Practitioner, and founder of PharmAveda UK, working to bring pharmacists into personalised and integrative oncology as clinical integrators rather than dispensers on the sidelines. He graduated from King's College London, followed by postgraduate research in Molecular Medicine at University College London.
Across almost 30 years in clinical pharmacy, close to a decade embedded within oncology multidisciplinary teams, Bobby came to see a system brilliant at targeting disease yet underpowered in supporting the terrain around it: metabolic health, inflammation, nervous system regulation, circadian rhythm, nutrition, and the lived reality of treatment. That question took him to India, where he trained in Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda, completing a Diploma in Ayurvedic Healthcare alongside further studies in nutrition, counselling and therapeutic movement.
Bobby's approach is shaped by advanced training in Integrative Metabolic Oncology and the growing understanding of how metabolic interventions may support standard treatment. He champions intellectual honesty in integrative care, recognising both the promise of emerging approaches and the importance of evidence-based decision-making.
In clinic, Bobby is known for translating complexity into clarity: helping patients and oncology teams navigate supplements, nutrition and herb-drug considerations through a pharmacist's lens, weighing pharmacology, organ function, adverse-effect risk and treatment intent. The goal is never "more supplements," but safer, more personalised decisions that protect treatment integrity while supporting resilience and quality of life.
Bobby's mission is to help evolve cancer care into a model that is not only targeted but truly human, and to ensure pharmacists are finally part of the conversation where polypharmacy, supplements, nutrition and patient safety intersect every day. It's this same mission he hopes to bring to the BSIO Council.
