Versha Carter
Versha joins the BSIO Council with more than 30 years' experience in conference and exhibition organisation and a long-standing passion for natural health. She is co-founder of Progressive Communications Ltd, which runs the Integrative & Personalised Medicine Congress.
As a patient herself, Versha has seen the need for a more progressive, joined-up approach to healthcare. Through the Congress, she has worked to build greater understanding, tolerance and respect across the many approaches to whole-person, patient-centred care, helping healthcare professionals understand the approaches patients are choosing and replacing judgement with knowledge.
On the Council, Versha brings expertise in building partnerships with key voices across the integrative health community and in creating platforms that bring people together. She is keen to support BSIO's outreach and education, helping to widen awareness of integrative oncology among healthcare professionals and the public, and to strengthen links between BSIO and the wider integrative medicine community.
Her approach in business and in life is simple: don't do anything by half measures, be honest and forthright in your convictions, and try to "do one thing every day that scares you."
